Help and Advice / Re: got scammed by highly trusted website
« on: Yesterday at 08:29:52 PM »
Hi Nahid,

We're terribly sorry that you got scammed by that site!

Sadly, we're not able to check every site there is on the web manually, and mistakes can happen sometimes.
As stated in our FAQ:
"If you rate a site very safe - does that mean I am totally safe from problems?
- No! Our rating is guide. Normal common sense needs to prevail. We try our best to provide an accurate and measured rating but you also need to know that companies can still change hands, go out of business or use very under-handed techniques to pretend or cloak their real identity. We can't catch and report every single site every single time...(not yet anyway)"

The main problem with crypto-currency, investment sites, farming sites or any other form of a HYIP is that they are in most cases a fraudulent activities, and there is always someone who pays the price. Those sites either start paying initially, and then hook-up a lot of clients and disappear, or they have an army of bots who advertise the site whilst there was never any real payment to begin with.

In case you're unsure about any website, just send us a message and our review team will take a look and provide you with the best and most accurate results.

Report a Scam / Re: www.quantumgas.co.uk Scam
« on: Yesterday at 08:10:46 PM »
Hi Kyle,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.
As stated in our FAQ, we try our best to provide an accurate and measured rating but you also need to know that companies can still change hands, go out of business or use very under-handed techniques to pretend or cloak their real identity. We can't catch and report every single site every single time.

At first glance, quantumgas.co.uk is hosted on the Estonian server, under the UK domain, while the DNS server for it is in Netherlands. The layout and content of the site does seem fishy.

I'll pass this one to our review team to double-check the site and update the rating accordingly.
Thanks!

Hi Jeremy,

We'll take a look at these and update the rating accordingly.
At glance they all look kinda similar and are on similar (if not the same) servers.

Good catch!
Thanks!

Investment scams / Re: primecryptobank

Hi there,

Terribly sorry to hear that you've been scammed by these people.
Depending on your local law, there might be something you could do, but don't have high hopes, as the crypto-currency is not much regulated by the law.

Seems like you've really had some bad luck with finding cars for purchase.  :-\
Look at the bright side: at least now you're pretty much familiar with how those scams work.  8)

Hi there!

It seems like there is a bit of a missunderstanding. :)

alumni.unf.edu is inactive, simply because alumni part was created as a subdomain and that part of the site indeed is inactive.
However, unf.edu is up and running, and you can freely check it with the ScamAdviser lookup tool.   ;)

Update: if you type in the www before the alumni.unf.edu, the site will redirect you towards unf.edu/alumni.

Scam prevention / Re: Scam Site
« on: July 09, 2018, 09:36:53 PM »
Hi there!

We're terribly sorry to hear of the issues you've had with that site.
Our support team will take a closer look and adjust the rating accordingly (if needed).

If you've paid via PayPal, there is a way to rise a dispute with that site.
In case you used a credit card (instead of a debit one), you should contact your card issuer and ask for a "charge back" process.

Report a Scam / Re: Beware - openglad.top website seems fraudulent
« on: July 09, 2018, 09:32:55 PM »
Hi!

It seems that openglad.top is at best a Chinese low quality vendor, and at worst - a complete scam. :(
Our support team will take a closer look and adjust the rating if needed.

We'd recommend that you contact your CC issuer and start the "charge back" process, as you've most likely been scammed.
